Nursing Home Abuse Resource: Books

Picture-79I frequently receive requests from caregivers, families and scholars regarding how they may obtain more information of various topics relating to nursing home care.  Of course, if I can assist by directing them to a particular source or website, I am happy to.

However, over the years I have realized that there really is no centralized location for information regarding some of the recurring themes in nursing home care and litigation.

Therefore, I plan on compiling a centralized nursing home resource center, where I plan on highlighting books, websites, studies and scholarly articles on commonly encountered topics related to nursing home care.

Initially, I plan on highlighting many of the resources I have found informative or those that were suggested by colleagues.  Nonetheless, I look forward to suggestions from others as our assemblage of resources continually grows. Here are some books on nursing home abuse and neglect that merit a read along with links for purchasing the book at Amazon.  Further, many public libraries and medical centers stock these titles as well.

Justia Lawyer Rating for Jonathan Rosenfeld

Client Reviews

Jonathan did a great job helping my family navigate through a lengthy lawsuit involving my grandmother's death in a nursing home. Through every step of the case, Jonathan kept my family informed of the progression of the case. Although our case eventually settled at a mediation, I really was impressed at how well prepared Jonathan was to take the case to trial. Lisa
After I read Jonathan’s Nursing Home Blog, I decided to hire him to look into my wife’s treatment at a local nursing home. Jonathan did a great job explaining the process and the laws that apply to nursing homes. I immediately felt at ease and was glad to have him on my side. Though the lawsuit process was at times frustrating, Jonathan reassured me, particularly at my deposition. I really felt like Jonathan cared about my wife’s best interests, and I think that came across to the lawyers for the nursing home. Eric
